2. Power system:
The positioning of the Blackbird is the king of Honda's speed, so of course the power is not to be outdone. This 1100cc inline four-cylinder engine has super backup power. After the EFI version was launched in 1999, the performance of the engine was more reliable and the start-up was quicker. The engine is quiet at idle with little vibration. Since the whole vehicle is completely original, the exhaust noise of the whole vehicle is very low. If you run with the CBR car that has changed the Scorpio platoon or the Rainbow platoon, you can hardly hear the sound of the black bird. The engine sound retains the characteristic "whistle" of the late 90s and early 00s Honda engines. It's light, soft, and smooth. As the displacement exceeds liters, it has a strong and powerful feeling while being supple. If you run with other cars with modified exhaust pipes, the sound is easily drowned out, but if you go to the basement, with the echo of the basement, it gives a more powerful feeling.
Since the wet clutch is used, it does not feel too strong power output at the moment of starting, and the coupling process of the clutch is relatively soft and not too abrupt. The hydraulic clutch is relatively heavy, and the stroke is reasonable, and the left hand will be more tired when the traffic is stuck for a long time. Once the vehicle is in motion, power is continuously sent to the rear wheels. Every time I ride it, the throttle never goes over 1/3. Even with a sharp acceleration to 9000 rpm, the throttle did not exceed 1/3. Because the higher the speed, the stronger the power output. You don't need full-throttle acceleration at all to get enough power. This also includes running mountains or roads with cars like the CBR1000. The power of the Blackbird allows you to navigate the team with ease. You can run to the first one or not at any time as long as you want. And the whole process does not require a large throttle, as long as the small throttle can increase the speed. Compared to those CBR600s that need to shift above 10,000 rpm at high full throttle, the Blackbird is much more leisurely. Because once you find that there is a car overtaking you, you don't even need to downshift, as long as the throttle opening is larger, you can overtake immediately. The power matching of the Blackbird is in place, and the powerful back power does not need to sacrifice comfort. During the whole process, the handle and seat did not vibrate at all, just a little vibration at some resonance speeds, but it is completely acceptable and will never numb your hands. And the better the oil you use, the less vibration will be negligible.
At first, I was worried that accelerating too fast would cause the front wheel to lift up, but it was actually not as exaggerated as I imagined. The balance and stability of the Blackbirds are excellent. Even in low gears and big accelerator acceleration, it's hard to look up. Because the head is too heavy. This is good for high-speed cruising. The overweight body and the aerodynamic streamline design (the body of the Blackbird has been tested in the wind tunnel and can resist the strong airflow and turbulence at a speed of more than 300 per hour). The high-speed stability of the Blackbird is very good. However, if the crosswind is too large, it will also reduce the stability of the body. When the speed exceeds 180, as long as you lower your body, you can obviously feel the high-speed airflow passing over your back, with little wind resistance and no turbulence. Stability is good. The driving position of the Blackbird is ideal for high-speed driving. The power also fully supports high-speed driving. Even at 250 per hour, as long as you pull the accelerator, you can still feel a steady stream of power output. And the vibration sound is still very small. It can easily maintain cruising speed above 180 on the highway.
